Creation Station Blog Hop - To Die for

Welcome to this month's Creation Station Blog Hop and this month its all about Die's and keeping within the theme, I thought I'd consider Halloween.

I've had the wonderful Home Sweet Home Bundle for a little while now, but just haven't had the chance to really sit and play … until now. I see so many ladies create some amazing things from Die's when they've had a chance to really play with the products and adapt them to other things.

I started off seeking inspiration from Pinterest and saw some totally cute 3D items, but I wanted something a little less 3D.

When I think of Halloween, I think of the film Beetlejuice and the striped jacket, which lead me to this striped paper from the Pop of Pink selection. I took the largest part of the dies from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits pack and die cut to wrap around a tube of Smarties, using the tab at the bottom to snip and fold in to cover the base. I then covered this with a 1" circle of Black Cardstock to neaten it up.

I'm not a Purple person normally, but when it comes to Halloween, Elegant Eggplant seems to be a favourite for me, especially coupled with Crushed Curry. I decided to use the Framelits from the Home Sweet Home bundle to create this Gift Tag that I attached to the treat with some brightly coloured thick bakers twine.

I saw this super idea on Pinterest, to use Vellum for the Ghost and the Spiders web and felt that the transparency worked really well.

I hope you'll continue the hop and see what the others within the Creation Station Team have to share. Head back to see what Jennifer Downey has to offer, or forwards to see what Kimberley VanDiepen has.

Thanks for hopping by, I hope you liked what I had to share with you today.

    1. Oh Thank you so much. You see Beetlejuice too now? We have two different sizes, then small rectangular boxes or the original barrel tubes, which this is. They are approx 5.5" long, or at least thats the length of the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit and I didn't adapt the length x
