Stampin' Creative Blog Hop - Casing the Catalogue

Welcome to this month's Stampin' Creative Blog Hop and if you've joined me from Emma's Blog, then you'll have already enjoyed some fantastic Inspiration and if this is your starting point, you're in for a great hop.

With so many amazing inspirational makes in the New Annual Catalogue, we decided this month to CASE the Catalogue - Copy and Share Everything. I had a good look through and couldn't resist but Case the Barnyard Babies on Page 33. Oh my goodness, isn't this just a super cute set?!

You don't have to Case using all of the same elements, so here I didn't use the Sweet Li'l Things Designer Series Paper that they have made the envelopes out of, or a few of the sequin embellishments, but here are my interpretations.

I'm a real lover of the new Envelope Paper and hope that in time they will bring some more colour ways if they become popular enough.

Quack, Quack … What a Ducky little line up! This is the new Delightful Dijon In Colour, coupled with some Designer Series Paper from the Cherry on Top paper stack.

Ewe can't really see it well, but I've stamped onto Shimmery White Card Stock, to help give a slight shimmer to the cards. I've then water coloured using the Aqua Painters. I love this effect and I so love this little ewe … so cute!

An award winning pony with Happy Birthday stamped all over the base card using Versamark ink. The watermark effect that this creates is so effective.

I may well have cased the catalogue here, but be it that our garden was formerly filled with Pigs, I couldn't not create a card using the sweet little Pig.

oINK, oINK … Hogs & Kisses complete my Blog Hop creations and I can honestly say, I've really enjoyed having a good play with this set.

I can see so many cards being made with this set, for many different occasions.

If you're ever short on inspiration, then it's not wrong to simply Case the Catalogue and change a few elements … even change the stamp set completely. If you like this stamp set, then you could choose to receive this for FREE as part of the current joining offer. If you'd like more information, then you'll find it HERE … but be quick, it expires in just a couple of days.

Now lets bunny hop over to Lesley and see what wonderful creations she has come up with. Enjoy the rest of the Hop and the rest of your weekend.

Happy Crafting

Mikaela x

  4. Eimear, isn't it just such a cute stamp set! I couldn't not Case this selection of cards and I've been making more with it which I will be sharing in a few days. I don't often use the shimmery white Cardstock, but it makes for a lovely subtle sheen and detail.

Thank you Emma, I love the new envelope paper and hope they will bring out more.

Don't you just hate it when you see a stamp set come to life, that you may have previously drawn off your wish list Louise ;) lol x

  8. I also fell in love with this set but my wish list was too long to allow me to get it. Love the way the horse card is offset. The envelope papers work perfectly with the set too. It was a toss up between this and the turtles and I'm afraid the turtles won....though I've yet to open the set!
I can see these being snapped up by your son's friends!

  9. Oh Lesley, I am so pleased that you like these cards and have fallen for this set. I see so much being done with it. In fact I made a Keepsake card for my Godson's 1st Birthday that I've posted today. I have lots more planned for this set, I just need the time now x

Pip, you know I'm a sucker for a Pig, so I fell in love with this set the moment I saw it. I fear the Pig stamp will actually get worn out x

Lesley, it did feel odd offsetting the horse, but it made for something quite different. Oooo turtles? Have I somehow missed a stamp set? Best I get thumbing my way through that tempting catalogue again. I have no end of ideas for cards for our son's friends at he moment that I don't have enough time or events to use them. He is also going to love the No Bones About it set, when I allow him to have a play x
