Hello Lovely Project Life Card kit for more than Memory Keeping

Last night saw the last of my Project Life by Stampin' Up! Hello Lovely Card Kit Classes.

I've often seen customers flick past the Memory Keeping section in our Catalogues, when they aren't scrapbookers or into Memory Keeping, but they've dismissed a whole host of fabulous opportunities.

This Card Kit offers no less than 100 cards of three different sizes that work beautifully as card fronts, matting layers, boarders, embellishments and inserts and not just for slotting into pockets for Memory Keeping.

Here I took just six card bases of two different colour card stocks and with some matting layers, mounted these beautiful cards that I stamped and heat embossed with various sentiments to finish them off.

Such a simple way to produce a quick and easy, yet beautiful card.

The little flower embellishments you can see on the two cards with oval sentiments, have been fussy cut from another card within the pack. I've literally just added some cardstock, Linen Thread, Pearls, Doillies, Pom Pom trim, a few die cut sentiment panels and some ink ... and this was the result.

Check out the Retirement list as this card kit will be leaving us at the end of May and is available whilst stocks last.

Remember also, I'm into my last week of celebrating my 5th Year with Stampin' Up! and be it that last week's All Inclusive Kit proved to be popular, I'm running the same Prize again this week.

Orders placed 24th April - 30th April inclusive

This week I am offering a Party Bag containing a randomly selected Designer Series Paper Sampler and Embellishment pack for every order placed, plus for orders over £35, will have their name entered into a FREE PRIZE DRAW to receive the Watercolor Wishes all inclusive Card Kit valued at £31.50.

Stampin' Creative Blog Hop - Love & Hearts

Welcome to this month's Stampin' Creative Blog Hop and whether you're starting the hop here or have hopped over from Eimear, then welcome. The theme this month is all that encompasses Love and Hearts.
With Valentines just around the corner, I couldn't help but think of the love in my life … my husband. I'm a very lucky girl, as he is an incredibly supportive man who I feel honoured to call my husband, so with him in mind, I came up with this ensemble.

I turned to the Memories in the making Project Life by Stampin' Up! Bundle, that includes the Stamp Set, an array of Cards and embellishments to make these projects. I was also fortunate enough to earn some FREE Memories in the Making Speciality Cards from the Sale-a-Bration offering. This promotion runs until the end of March and rewards you with a FREE Gift for every £45 spend (excluding p&p).

It was the colours within this set, that lead me to using Pool Party, Watermelon Wonder and Basic Grey. The embellishment pack offers so much variety, from watercolour paper shapes, acetate layers, cards, adhesive shapes and letters and some wonderful wooden accents.

Firstly a simple card that says I Love You without actually having to say it …. A real collage of shapes, textures and colour. It was my intention to avoid Real Red for this theme and to use something quite different …. and quite fresh.

Hubby doesn't have a sweet tooth at all, but he still enjoys the odd special chocolate from time to time, so I'm filling a Baker's Box with a selection of this favourites.

It was tempting at first to use the large wooden heart on the Bakers Box, but it was what it left behind that lead me to this final piece.

From time to time, hubby has to travel for business and stay away. Having done the traveling that I have in my former career, I know that having photo's of your loved ones back home, by your bedside, is a welcome sight, when you wake on foreign lands, so I created this mini photo book for him.

The wooden embellishment surround forms the front of the book and the protective cardboard from the embellishment pack covered with cardstock, forms the back. In between it's just cardstock, scored and folded concertina style to form the pages.

I so love the acetate overlay that seemed so fitting to frame the photo of us on our wedding day.

With us both loving Black and White photo's, I decided to use these within the album. It allowed the flashes of colour to really pop.

Here I show how the weight of the wooden front and stiff cardboard backing, allow this book to stand up like a photo frame.

Well there you have it …. Love and Hearts and hopefully something here will have captured your heart and inspired you to creating something for someone special in your life.
Be sure to hop on over to see what delights the lovely Lesley has in store for you this month, I'm sure she won't disappoint.

Happy Hopping

Wedding Anniversary wishes, using Project Life by Stampin' Up!

Yesterday was our 6th Wedding Anniversary and what wonderful memories we have of a fabulous day. The sun was shining on that day too and the atmosphere filled with pure love and happiness. We couldn't have wished for a better day.

Yesterday, 6 years on, we celebrated with our little boy. In fact, we chose to celebrate the entire weekend long, with lots of meandering around Cambridge, a delicious Steak meal out, a spot of shopping for some new bedding, yet more favourite delicious home cooked meals and some pottering in the garden.

Can you believe that we even paid a fleeting visit to IKEA for another shelving unit for the Summerhouse Storage Cupboard, that I proceeded to sort and tidy, thanks to hubby pulling everything out onto the lawn and calling me to sort it … and there was me thinking he was going to pop it in the cabin for me to sort out this week. Still, it's done and a super tidy store cupboard I now have.

Friday I set to making an Anniversary card that was a little different to those of past years. I decided to pull out some Project Life Cards to make use of and came up with this.

You can tell from the photos, the beautiful sunshine that we had.

Who says that Project Life Cards and embellishments have to be just for Memory keeping? They are just perfect for matting and layering for a card too. Hubby likes abstract and different and this was most certainly that.

He loved it! … and we did most certainly 'Celebrate Us'. Don't you just love these gorgeous wooden embellishments?! … and don't you just love days like this?!

Hoping you enjoyed a relaxing weekend and made lots of cards for World Card Making Day on Saturday.
