Everyday Hero for all you Mums

Ahead of Mother's Day here in the UK, I hosted a special class for a group of teenagers in our village at a Youth Group.

Wanting to come up with something that would appeal to both boys and girls, I decided to use the Stamp Set, Everyday Hero. I mean, what child doesn't love the imagery of a Superhero?

I thought it would be a great idea to make the card into one suitable for either Mother's Day, or a general card of appreciation for what our Mums do. After all, with all the juggling, they really are an Everyday Hero.

I actually love how this set is so adaptable with interchangeable bodies, capes and heads, so you can make the Superhero stand proud, fly, be a boy or a girl and with a careful snip, have long or short hair. Genius! ... and the kids even coloured the hair to reflect that of their Mum's.

I feel sure the Mum's are indeed incredible, but the kids that evening most certainly were. They did a great job and all appeared to enjoy it .... as did I. A fun evening shared.

This stamp set was sadly put on the retirement list and so is now available whilst stocks last and won't be joining us in the new Annual Catalogue soon to launch. So if this is one you wish you had on your shelf, then be sure to head over to my shop and order your copy today.

If you don't have a Demonstrator who'll issue you with a copy of the up coming Annual Catalogue, then be sure to click above and reserve your copy from me.

Don't forget that current Bundle prices, may not carry over to the new Catalogue, so be sure to purchase your favourites now, to benefit from the 10% bundle offering.

The Gift of Cool Treats at a Discounted Price

Last week saw the last of my Cool Treats Classes where we made this ensemble of projects.

The gift box, offers a card and box in one to house a CD with spine, which would be perfect for a Teenagers Gift and the two cards ... well, just sweet and very cool.

Many of my ladies weren't sure about this bundle until they started playing with it ... and then they were converted. Its such a fun set to play with ... as you really are playing. What flavour? What topping? Cone? Bowl? Sprinkles? ... the choices were endless.

I saw a similar idea to this on Pinterest and adapted it to take a full size CD case with spine. It's such a cool way of giving what can sometimes be a gift that's quite bland to wrap and give ... and often, very obvious.

Loving the Stitched Framelits as I do, I couldn't not make use of them with the layering framelits to create something delicate and simple and coupled with Pool Party, quite Retro in its colour way.

Again, I'd seen a pin on Pinterest, which is a great source of inspiration, for this next card, switched up the colours and Ice Pops a little and a fresh, clean and simple card was created.

You'll be pleased to know that this set is carrying over to the New Catalogue, but be warned, the 10% Bundle price offering isn't, so if you want yourself some discount, then NOW is the time to get ordering it.

If you like this selection of projects, then you might like to join in my classes to make similar projects of this type. Keep abreast of my Events by heading over to my Facebook page or my Official Stampin' Up! Page and register for your chosen event early.

Hoping you liked these creations as much as we had fun making them.

Hello Lovely Project Life Card kit for more than Memory Keeping

Last night saw the last of my Project Life by Stampin' Up! Hello Lovely Card Kit Classes.

I've often seen customers flick past the Memory Keeping section in our Catalogues, when they aren't scrapbookers or into Memory Keeping, but they've dismissed a whole host of fabulous opportunities.

This Card Kit offers no less than 100 cards of three different sizes that work beautifully as card fronts, matting layers, boarders, embellishments and inserts and not just for slotting into pockets for Memory Keeping.

Here I took just six card bases of two different colour card stocks and with some matting layers, mounted these beautiful cards that I stamped and heat embossed with various sentiments to finish them off.

Such a simple way to produce a quick and easy, yet beautiful card.

The little flower embellishments you can see on the two cards with oval sentiments, have been fussy cut from another card within the pack. I've literally just added some cardstock, Linen Thread, Pearls, Doillies, Pom Pom trim, a few die cut sentiment panels and some ink ... and this was the result.

Check out the Retirement list as this card kit will be leaving us at the end of May and is available whilst stocks last.

Remember also, I'm into my last week of celebrating my 5th Year with Stampin' Up! and be it that last week's All Inclusive Kit proved to be popular, I'm running the same Prize again this week.

Orders placed 24th April - 30th April inclusive

This week I am offering a Party Bag containing a randomly selected Designer Series Paper Sampler and Embellishment pack for every order placed, plus for orders over £35, will have their name entered into a FREE PRIZE DRAW to receive the Watercolor Wishes all inclusive Card Kit valued at £31.50.

Oh, So Succulent for a Special Reason

I so love the Oh, So Succulent Designer Series Paper pack and here I have coupled it with the Framelits and Stamp Set of Special Reason.

It's such a lovely backing for the die cut image of the delicate flower from Special Reason. You could couple this flower with any pretty papers behind, but I do think it works particularly well with these patterns.

Isn't that Glimmer paper gorgeous in Mint Macaron too? This is a Sale-a-Bration freebie and has been available while stocks last.

A very simple card and tag, but a pretty and effective one I'd like to think.

Sometimes ... less is most certainly more.

Hoping you are enjoying the sunshine that we've been blessed with these past few days.

Celebrating 5 Years with this amazing Prize Draw and Giveaway for all qualifying orders. Get your £45 order in with me before the end of March to be in with a chance of winning this set. Read more about it, by clicking on the image below.

Last Chance Sale-a-Bration with Stampin' Creative

With just days to go before this year's annual Sale-a-Bration Promotion ends, we at the Stampin' Creative thought we'd share some Last Chance reminders of what is available to you for FREE and what bumper opportunities there are available if you have an extensive Wish List.

If you've started the hop here, then be sure to hop around and see what all the girls have to offer and if you've hopped on over from the lovely Caro then you'll have already seen some fabulous inspiration.

For me, I have loved the "Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper" that has purposely been designed in Black and White to allow you free reign to colour in to your hearts content.

We could all benefit with a spot of mindfulness colouring to clear the head of daily stresses.

Following the Incentive Trip last year and a Swap that I saw, I couldn't help but CASE the Notecard holder from Rachel Teesman with this fabulous print from Inside the lines.

The notecards and envelopes are those that we sell in a pack of 20. I've chosen to use the off cuts of the paper to simply embellish the front of the notecards and the envelope flaps.

Although I have used mini magnets to keep the flap of the notecard holder in place, I've also used some FREE Sale-a-Bration Ribbon to pull it together with a ribbon. This ribbon can also be seen on the front of each Thank you notecard.

Colouring is so therapeutic and coupled with a pack of our gorgeously soft Watercolour Pencils, a beautiful Gift idea. I'll be sad to see this Designer Series Paper go, so if this project is something you'd like to recreate, then be sure to get your order in before Sale-a-Bration ends on 31st March.

If you're still with a wish list as long as your arm, then you'd be wise to take advantage of the amazing fully customisable Starter Kit offer. There are no catches just two FREE Stamp Sets of your choice, of ANY value, plus £130 worth of products, a FREE Business kit of Catalogues, FREE postage and all for just £99. You'll even have the opportunity of seeing products from the new Annual Catalogue ahead of it launching to the public.

Don't miss out on this amazing offer and the freebies that Sale-a-Bration offers.

Now don't forget to hop on over to see what fabulous inspiration the lovely Gina has to offer you. Enjoy the rest of the hop and take advantage of the remaining few days of Sale-a-Bration. It will be another 9 months before the next.

Builder Birdcage Hi There card

A little birdie says .... Hi there!

I previously loved the Avery set that was once available in the catalogue, so had to purchase this set, just to have another play with this style of images.

This card was a simple CASEing of a layout in the Spring/Summer 2017 Catalogue.

I felt that the card needed a little more punch of colour, so sat the matting layers on a So Saffron yellow card base.

A really simple yet effective little card and one that makes good use of any Designer Series Paper that you're in need of using up.

I think this bird looks a little lonely though, so I may have to create another to provide a little love bird friend for him ... so watch this space.

Missing You, Get Well Soon Bear

For a little girl, the comfort of a soft teddy bear when they're feeling poorly, would just hit the spot.

Very sadly, one of the little girls in our son's class at school, recently had a nasty car accident that had her off school for a number of weeks.Thankfully after some amazing care, she and her father were recovering back home, but still she remained off off school. The children clubbed together to purchase a gift and send a few words in a card to express how much they were missing her.

This card seemed the most fitting at a time like this.

I just love the three step stamping of this bear and the textural detail that the layering ink offers. Doesn't she look so cuddly?

These layering framelits are just a must have in your craft stash. They offer such a professional finish. I love them.

Thankfully, since preparing this blog post, the lovely little girl has returned to school and was welcomed back with open arms. It's heartwarming to see her looking so happy to be back.

High Tide you had a Happy Birthday

Sunny days by the sea are fond memories I have of my childhood, so when I saw the Stamp Set, High Tide appear in the Spring/Summer Catalogue, I knew I had to buy it.

I couldn't grow up by the Sea in Brighton and not own this Stamp Set.

The Two Step Stamping helps to create this fabulous lighthouse and the Seaside Embossing Folder, adds a great textural matting layer to the background. The sky may not be coloured, but I still love the simplicity of this card and the detail.

Now to book up a visit to the seaside for a Fish and Chip lunch on the beach ... which was how my husband and I spent our first date together, 8 years ago next week ... ahhh the memories.

New Items have been added to the Sale-a-Bration offering. Be sure to check it out.
