Mother's Day entry for the Global Design Project Colour Challenge #GDP025

Many of you will have seen my daily posts this week, of the Birthday card creations that we made at my recent All Day Event. Having seen that this week's Global Design Project Challenge, I thought I'd give you a break from those shares for the weekend and share something else with you.
With my Mother-in-law's favourite colour being Yellow and her Mother's Day card still needing to be made, I decided to rise to this challenge and for the first time, enter into the Global Design Project challenge. Thankfully, not being one to view the internet, I'm safe to share her card with you, ahead of Mothering Sunday here in the UK this weekend.

I hope she'll like it and I hope you will too.

A Christmas Card that I received from our son inspired the layout for this card. Amazing where and when we get your inspiration from.

I knew that I wanted to stamp the word 'Mother's' in large letter across a DL Tent card and build the card around that, so it had to be in Yellow to stand out.

I'm hoping that you can see the little vellum flowers that are scattered across this far end of the card, along with the Rhinestones. Not actually being a lover of Yellow myself, I'm surprised at just how much I really like how this card has turned out.

Click on the Global Design Project colour image at the top of this post or HERE, to be taken to the blog to see other entries for this week's challenge. There's lots of inspiration on offer.

I hope you like what I have to share with you and that if you're in the UK and celebrate Mothering Sunday, that you do so with a smile on your face.

  4. These flowers look fantastic with just a touch of yellow. I never use letters and text like this - I love how it looks and how you can achieve any greeting with an alphabet set! (I am just catching up on all of the posts from the challenge last week). Thank-you for playing along with the Global Design Project!!

  5. Thank you so much Brian. I really enjoyed taking part in this particular challenge, as yellow isn't one of my favourite colours, so it made me step out of my comfort zone. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and leave me such a lovely message. I'm pleased you liked my share x
