Journalling delight ...

This weekend, I created my spin on the Journal on the cover of the Spring/Summer Catalogue, making use of a few left over doilies, some Flower trim and a Tea Time Trinket.

I just loved the pretty papers from the 'Comfort Cafe' Designer Series Paper pack and the simple stamped detailing of the French Foliage Stamp Set that I've grown to love for it's rustic charm.

There is no right or wrong in a creation like this, just simple layout, grouping and pulling colours together. Here I used Night of Navy, Summer Starfruit and Cajun Craze.

It's a great way to brighten up an otherwise bland journal book and use up a few scraps or off cuts of ribbon.

Best of Everything

This week I've been working on the design for what we shall be making at my 'Best of Everything' classes next month and I can't wait to share the classes with you.

Originally I had plans to use more primary colours, with a blue and yellow in there, but once I got started with the Strawberry card and a theme started coming together, the colours evolved all by themselves.

That's one of the reasons I just love Crafting ..... how you set out with one idea in mind, but end up being taken down a path towards something entirely different.

I just adore good British Strawberries, so this set is full of excitement for me.

If you fancy taking part in this class, then be sure to get in contact to find out availability. You'll find all my classes, listed under my Classes and Events tab at the top. More daytime classes are soon to be added.

Blast Off !!

I've been a little quiet on the Blogging front of late, mainly down to hubby's birthday and some gardening works that are currently taking place.

For hubby's Birthday, I couldn't resist but use one of the Stampin' Sound Cards (121009 £5.50 each) for our Son's card to his daddy and when you feel your daddy is quite literally 'Out of this world' ... what better stamp set than 'Blast Off'.

They are so quick and easy to use .... if your not asking a 2 year old to say 'Happy Birthday Daddy' on demand .... and hubby loved it !!

I had so much fun using this set and shall be making a lot more with it .. so watch this space!

Spaldwick Village Easter Fayre

I survived the weekend's event at our local Village Church, Easter Fayre ... and I really enjoyed having my first ever stall. This may not be the clearest of photo's, taken on my iPhone, but I couldn't go without a photo to share.

I met some lovely people and shared my enthusiasm for crafting amongst the villagers, who had heard about my craft classes. I received quite a lot more interest for my classes, so watch this space for future dates being added.

I conducted a FREE Prize Draw on the day and this evening had hubby pull the winners name. I'm pleased to announce that Nicola Blackmore from Stow Road, Spaldwick has won the Patterned Occasions Stamp Set and a Voucher for a free monthly craft class. She will be receiving this before the week is out.

I have a few more stalls in line over the coming months/weeks, so a busy time ahead.

Hoot have thought it of me? ....

Hooot have thought it of me to make something related to Owls .... Hooooo me??

For those of you who know me well, you'll know that I just love Owls .... well I've been meaning to makes a batch of these for a long while ... so long, that sadly the Pillow Box Die Cutter has now been retired. Retired or not though, I couldn't help but share these cute little chaps with you all.

How fun do they look?! ...

Digging up some more boys Invitations

Some of you may recall of some similar invitations that I made for our son's 2nd Birthday Party back in January. Well here I have made a set of invitations, coordinating thank you cards, favour bags and tags all using the same "I dig you" stamp set.

This design is a little more simplified than the set I made before, but either way, what little boy doesn't dream of Diggers and Dump Trucks?!

This set comes complete with cute little animal characters and gift parcels to place in the tipper truck like the soil I've used on the invitation. The pile of gifts would look super cute used for a boys Birthday or Christmas Card.

Bundle of Love

It's been a busy time of late amongst our friends, as several newborn babies are being welcomed into this world .... and what better stamp set to use than the gorgeous "Bundle of Love" with the old fashioned pram.

I absolutely love the delicate Striped Organdy Ribbon that I've used from the current Spring/Summer Catalogue too. It also comes in Marina Mist and Melon Mambo, which I feel I may just have to get .... but you know me ... green is my favourite colour so just had to be used.

Colour Refresh ...

If you live your life in Colour like me, then you'll be excited to read this colourful and refreshing announcement from Stampin' Up!

How exciting is this !!!! ..... Today Stampin' Up! announced this Colour Refresh, so retiring colour products, to include ink, paper, ribbons and accessories are now available whilst stocks last!

Here are how the new Core Colours will appear and a list of what is being Discontinued from today.

The new and exciting colours will be available from 1 July, inline with the launch of the New Annual Catalogue. However, any new Recruiting Demonstrators from 31 May, will be able to choose the new colours as part of their starter kit.

I am so excited to see Pear Pizzazz back and equally pleased to see that both Island Indigo and Pool Party are also here to stay!

Now don't let your colourful sky cloud over, be sure to get your order in quickly if there is a colour you simply can't live without .... for me .... Certainly Celery was my first ever favourite and it will seem strange not seeing it in the new catalogue .... but make way for exciting new colours!!

Baaa It's Lambing season

Spring is trying desperately to appear, but lambing season has started and I couldn't resist but make a few Sheep Bookmarks to literally mark the occasion. I'm thinking that a little bow to one ear, may just lift these a little and make them suitable for a boy or girl.

Don't you just love the versatility of the Owl Punch? Whooooo would have thought it could produce so many fun things!

The Owl Builder punch can be found in the current Annual Catalogue for £15.50 (118074) and is well worth having in your collection.
