Stampin' Creative Blog Hop Sketch Challenge

Thank you for joining us on another Stampin' Creative Blog Hop. This month, along with my fellow Demonstrators, we are basing our themes around a chosen Card Sketch. Our interpretation can be loosely based on this layout, but can use any manner of Stamp Set or theme that we choose.

Having realised that I didn't own a Wedding Stamp Set, I fell in love with 'Your Special Day' Stamp Set on the launch of the new Spring/Summer Catalogue and was determined to use it for this Sketch challenge. I saw the circle of leaves as an instant focal point and based the rest around that.

I have coupled together … hey, did you like what I did there? "Coupled" …. well, I have coupled up Pear Pizzazz with the aptly named Blushing Bride to add a delicate wash of colour to this neutral based card and gift box set.

I simply adore the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper that I've used here. It is quote beautiful and ever so delicate, which is why I didn't want to add too harsh a colour with it.

I can't remember the last Wedding that we attended where we took an actual wrapped Gift. Gift Cards and Vouchers seem to be regularly asked for these days … which had me thinking ...

… At Convention last November in Brussels, we were shown how to use the Gift Card Envelope and Trim Thinlit to create a box lid, which is exactly what I have chosen to do here … but had we chosen to give a Gift Card, we could have just used the thinlit to simply make that too. It's such a versatile set with all the added little thinlits of Banners, hearts, tags and suchlike, which I used throughout this little set.

This month we have the addition of the lovely Lesley Lendon who I'll be passing you over to now. The running order can be found at the bottom of this post, but if you click on the Stampin' Creative button below, you'll hop straight over to her now.

Enjoy the hop and be sure to take in all the inspiration on offer and draw up your wish list for what goodies it might inspire you to purchase. Sale-a-Bration is running for another month and as of 1st March, there are some lovely new items being added to the selection on offer for FREE, so be sure to take advantage of these whilst you can.

  5. I was astonished the other month when a friend asked for a Wedding Card and I discovered that I didn't own a suitable set. I managed to use the Build a Bird Punch to create something, but I was then on a mission to add a Bridal set to my collection and here it is …..

I'm so pleased that you like it and the colour combination … soft and subtle, just as I'd hoped for x
